Position Available:  Fulltime Tennis Teaching Professional

Los Gatos Tennis Academy (LGTA) - an award winning community tennis program - is seeking a motivated, talented & dedicated individual to join the LGTA Team.  Working with LGTA, this individual will have the exciting opportunity to learn, grow & develop his/her career while also helping develop and  grow LGTA’s integrated tennis program (check out our web site at www.LGTA.net.) in various locations in and around San Jose, California.  This is a fulltime, year-round teaching position.

Qualifications:  Candidates should own the following qualifications:

1)       Certified as a USPTA or USPTR (level 2 or 3) or be willing to become certified within 6 months of employment

2)       A 4.5 level tennis player (or above)

3)       Experienced at teaching (tennis, health & fitness, sports training, or general education subjects at the elementary, middle or high schools level)

Responsibilities include:

1)       Teaching adult & junior tennis programs

2)       Directing junior summer camps

3)       Directing elementary and middle schools programs in the area

4)       Managing student instructors

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

1)       Exceptional promotional and communication skills

2)       A hard worker who understands the importance of time management

3)       Someone who is approachable, friendly and makes others feel comfortable

4)       A passion for learning & teaching the defined integrated tennis program via our proven teaching methods

5)       A positive attitude and high energy level

6)       Be highly organized by using Outlook, Excel and Word computer tools

7)       Be able to manage yourself and your instructors

8)       Honest, ethical & dependable – and truly a team player

Compensation

Your compensation package will include an hourly rate for the recreation and school programs and a percentage of gross revenue for private lessons & small groups.  Candidate must have reliable transportation.  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.  Compensation should increase substantially after candidate is trained.  Level of compensation will be largely dependent upon the promotion skills, communication skills & motivation level of the candidate.  If candidate is willing to work hard, the only limit to candidate’s earning potential is the number of hours in a day.   This is an incredible opportunity for the right person!
