Ball Machine Clinic (Cardio Tennis)
On sabbatical for the summer while our courts are being completely renovated. See us in October on our brand new hard courts...
Ideal for virtually any tennis player, this clinic allows players to:
-
Groove their strokes by hitting 150-200 shots. (Features $5500 Playmate Duece Ball Machine); and/or,
-
Add as many or as few tennis specific footwork and exercise drills between shots to improve fitness and footwork.
It’s a new, fun, group activity featuring high-energy music and tennis drills to give players of all abilities a no pressure opportunity to hone their tennis strokes. Furthermore, for the more energetic, it can be an exhilarating aerobic or interval workout. Loaner heart rate monitors are available to ensure that you stay in your ideal training zone. Sessions include dynamic warm-up, cardio and/or hitting workout, and cool-down phases resulting in:
“Heart Pumping Fitness!”
Time: Tuesdays, 7:30 PM (Please email to reserve a spot in the class)
Cost: $8 for MCC members and $10 for non-members ($80 for 10 classes for non-members).
Location: Mesa Country Club (3 miles from the northern intersection of Loops 101 and 202).
Directions: 660 W. Fairway Drive, Mesa, AZ 85201 Take Loop 202 east (Use Loop 101 south from Scottsdale or north from Tempe/Chandler/Ahwatukee to get to L 202) to Country Club. Take Country Club south approximately 3/4 mile past McKellips and McClellan to Fairway Drive. Turn right (west) on Fairway and follow it around through the golf course and up the hill until you see the tennis courts directly in front of you.
