As a player, he was ranked #5 by the USTA for 6 years, #1 in GA for over 10 years. He has been selected Pro of the Year four times, and Sr. Player of the Year twice. Coach Howell was recently inducted into the Ga. Professional Tennis Hall of Fame. He fully understands the game from both a technical as well as mental approach and has great commnication skills.
