I had played tennis for a number of years and decided to return to the game about a year ago. I started lessons with Juan about 10 months ago and have been very pleased with the results. Juan is an excellent coach who teaches a "modern" game based on solid fundamentals. He has a very good "eye" and can quickly and accurately give feedback as to any flaws in any parts of your game. I have definitely improved under his coaching and enjoy playing tennis again. I highly recommended him as a coach for all age levels.

When you hit with Juan and if you have a chance to see him play a match, it\'s very apparent he knows his stuff. Last time I had a chance to work with him, he gave me some good feedback on adjusting my spacing to my forehand - it wasn\'t the \"solution\" but it made me realize something else a few days later. As a result, I have a lot more confidence in what I am trying to do with my groundstrokes. I have worked with a number of pros and Juan is definitely one of the best. Next lesson: THE SERVE

I was on a family Spring Break trip to San Diego. I am a 37 yr old guy, a previous division 1 college tennis player and have been working to revitalize my game. Juan was so good. We hit 3 different times in a 5 day span. Not only does he know his coaching stuff, but he was professional in setting up the times and the guy can absolutely play tennis. If you are looking for a guy that is not teaching from a book, this is your guy. He can help your strokes and his mind is fresh in the competitive tennis scene. If you want to learn how to play with the shots you have or have to step up and hit some shots you are uncomfortable hitting, Juan is your guy. I enjoyed every moment practicing with him and on my return to Indiana, I have been even more motivated to keep working on my game.

As a beginner to tennis Juan was great at breaking down the basics and instructing me on the proper fundamentals. In the 1 lesson I have taken with him my skills have definitely developed. I will continue my lessons with him.

My Son and I went to Juan with a big goal make the High school varsity tennis team as a freshman on the number one team in San Diego. (did I mention he had four months and my son did not play?) He took him and has taught him proper form and has helped him progress from a true beginner in 4 months to be a starter on the tennis team as a freshman. My son likes him and each week looks forward to having Juan tweak his game. His game has increased noticabley every week! I strongly recommend Juan for any jr player wanting to learn the game and compete in any junior enviroment.

Thank you Juan for helping my son reach the first goal....and the next ones to come!

I have taken at least 5 lessons at this point. I have been rebooking with him because I am seeing progress. Juan's style of instruction is effective and challenging for me. He's a great instructor and I would highly recommend him.

We have the best tennis coach as far as we ever had. Juan is instructive, fun, energetic, and very motivate. He is the one for levels of tennis players, including kids and semi pro. I strongly recommend him, from two years tennis lessons experience.

Juan is an excellent technician he can really pick out any flaw you might have in your technique. Juan is also an awesome player verified by his excellent tournament results. If you want a great coach or advanced hitting partner give him a call.

Juan is an amazing coach. His pro tennis skills are great but more importantly, he has the ability to translate his techniques into effective lesson to his students at all levels. He is a good communicator and is able to critique his students in a way that allow the student to improve his/her tennis skills. He is always encouraging and has transformed my appreciation for tennis. I highly reccommend Juan as a tennis coach. He is an individual you want to know on a professional level and personal as well.

I'm blessed to have Juan as my tennis coach. I always had a great passion to play tennis and it took me 30 years to pursue my dream. Juan set our class goals so I could feel that I was going to reach my dream and now I feel confident enough to go for next year's tournament. Juan is a great coach and is very knowlegable. He is very professional and extremely fair. As a female I first hesitated to pick a male private coach but it didnt take me long to realize how honest and porfessional Juan is. He has a very fair price for his lessons and you definately get much more than what you pay in his sessions. He make sure you dont waste a minute during the hour booked with him. I highly recommend him. he is as a very high performing level coach and can efficiently help you at any level that you are. Trust me, he is the best tennis coach in San Diego.

Juan knows the game as an active player with college experience and as a teacher. He's able to breakdown your strokes so you can understand what is needed to establish consistent powerful strokes. He can help you incorporate flat penetrating strokes or precision top-spin strokes from the forehand and backhand. He also rents out a ball machine at a good rate for additional practice. I'm very excited about what I've been learning and would someday like to enter tournaments. With Juan as your coach you won't be disappointed with his teaching!

I wanted to return to tennis after a 30+ year hiatus and wanted to refresh my skills before I got on the court with other people.
Juan has been an excellent instructor, never giving me more pointers than I can deal with at each lesson.
And I am achieving my goal of being able to play with others. It has been a wonderful experience.

I started taking lessons in March 2009 and had no prior tennis experience. Juan is a great coach, he's encouraging, extremely patient and has helped me to carry out a great game of tennis. I highly recommend his services.
