How do I post an ad?

The best way to post an ad is to visit our home page and click on "Post an Ad". It's located on the top right side of the page. All posts are Self-Service, which works like this:

-You Post your ad.
-Unregistered users will receive a Self-Activation email containing a link to activate the post.
This will allow you to make any last-minute changes and then activate your post.
-Once activated, your post will appear on the site right away.
-Keep the Self-Activation email because you will use the link later to edit or delete the post at any time.
*If you lose or delete this email and need it later, you can have it resent.

Registered users can create, edit and delete their posts without requiring the Self-Activation email.

How can I edit my post?

If you are a registered user, login and go to "Manage My Posts". Otherwise, use the link provided in the Self-Activation email. If you can't find this email, try having it resent.
Note: Editing your post will not bring it up to the current date.

How long does my post stay on the site?

All posts will expire after 60 days, they are deleted 30 days after they expire.
Registered users can set their posts to Auto-Renew.

How can I delete my posting?

If you are a registered user, login and go to "Manage My Posts". Otherwise, use the link provided in the Self-Activation email. If you can't find this, try having it resent.
Please note, all posts are automatically deleted 30 days after they expire.

How do I repost my ad?

If you are a registered user, login, go to "Manage My Posts" and set your post to Auto-Renew.

If you are not registered, what are you waiting for, it's free...

How often can I post?

We do not allow reposting in order to appear first on the list.
If you delete your ad and then post it again you post / account will be disabled.
You can edit your post as many times as you wish.

How can I post anonymously and still receive responses?

When submitting a post, you are asked to provide your email address.
We've provided three email display options:

1) No Contact - No email address is shown at all - you'll need to provide contact information in the post itself.
2) Anonymous Contact Form - People can send you an email through our site but will NOT see your email.
3) Show Email - Your email address appears in your post just as you have typed it (This is not recommended since spammers can see it).

*Selecting the last two options will guarantee anonymity, but only the second option allows you to receive emails.

I have not received the email to activate my post, what should I do?

If you have successfully submitted your post, but have not received the Self-Activation email:
-Please check your bulk / spam mail folder.
-You may have entered your email address incorrectly when you posted your ad -- it only takes one typo!
-Your email provider may be experiencing delays, or be having trouble connecting to TennisLessons.com for mail. This is especially prevalent these days for some of the free email providers.
-Don't despair, you can always have your Self-Activation email resent.
Posting from a TennisLessons.com account will get automatically activated.

I activated my post, but I don't see it on the site!

-If your post does not appear in the city where you entered it, try to REFRESH or RELOAD your browser. The refresh/reload option is usually located along the top of your browser.
If you do not see it there, try clicking the right button on your mouse. If you do not refresh/reload, you might not be seeing the most current version of the page and you will not see your posting.

Can I add a picture to my post?

Yes, you have the option to add an image to your post during the posting process.

Can I add HTML tags or URLs in my post?

No HTML at this time, sorry...
You can add links to existing URLs or emails from your post

What kind of posts are prohibited?

Please consult the "Conduct" section of our Terms of Use.
Soliciting illegal activity either implicitly or explicitly on TennisLessons.com is prohibited.

What should I do if someone harasses me by posting a prank ad?

If you suspect that you are the target of a posting prank, please contact abuse@tennislessons.com immediately, and ask to have the post removed.
Please have ready the post title and email address (if available).
We take cases of abuse and pranking very seriously and will work with folks in helping them understand some of their legal options moving forward.

What recourse do I have for a transaction gone wrong or a person/post that is not being entirely honest?

If you feel you've been cheated in a transaction or that there is a post on the site that is false advertising, please let us know about it.
However, in most cases, we can't do a real investigation, therefore, you'll have to rely on the police and/or small claims court for that.
We really want to help, but for the most part, this is beyond our limited resources. We hope we have your understanding on this.

Do you know of any sites like yours in any other places?

We can't find anything genuine that's like what we do. Because of this and the demand from our growing community, we are expanding into new places.
